Meet Sofia! She is a senior at Loyalsock Township High School. I had an amazing time hanging out with Sofia and her mom while capturing her senior photos. She wanted a summer session to capture some of that summer glow she had, so we scheduled for the end of July. She brought three beautiful outfits to the session, two dressy outfits and one for a more casual vibe. I love all the looks we captured that day!

Sofia is an extremely talented musician and singer. You can find her performing with the Uptown Music Collective. I LOVE that she brought her guitar along to showcase her talent in a few of her photos.

Sofia chose to have her makeup done professionally for her session. It is not something I require of my seniors, but professional makeup can make a world of difference. Professional makeup artists spend years perfecting their craft. They’re comfortable contouring any face to make it look the best in all light in front of the camera and choose colors that are flattering to your skin tone.  

Don’t usually wear a lot of makeup? No worries, makeup artists will apply an amount that you’re comfortable with. Professional makeup can still be very natural looking. Sofia chose to have her makeup done by the beautiful and extremely talented makeup artist, Rikki Feerrar. Rikki is amazing at what she does, applying the just right amount to highlight and bring out all your features without overdoing it. You will also feel so pampered in her gorgeous studio!

If makeup or hair is not in your budget, please don’t panic. I have many beautiful young ladies get their photos done and they don’t traditionally wear much or any makeup. I do encourage at least some mascara and a little lipstick, even it its just slightly darker than you lip color. These small details make a big difference in enhancing your portraits. No matter what you choose to achieve your look, I encourage you to practice it a few times before your session and to leave ample time on the day of your session to prepare!
