Shoot & Share Contest Results

As some of you may already know, I entered a huge photography contest this year! Shoot + Share holds a yearly global contest. Basically, anyone can enter up to 50 images into 25 categories. The images are shown in groups of four and you vote on your favorite of the group. There are twelve rounds with thousands of photos being eliminated each round. This year, 332,768 photos were entered from 141 countries with over 49 million votes! So you can imagine my excitement when I found out I had two images that were Finalists! This means they placed in the top 3.5% of all the photos submitted! I also had one image place in the top 10%, two images in the top 20% and six images in the top 30%! The best part of the contest? It’s all completely anonymous! All images are displayed for judging anonymously, so they are voted strictly on their quality. I totally had no expectations as this was my first time entering, so you can imagine how pleased I am with my results!
