As I was going through Hope’s beautiful photo gallery for this blog post, I was reflecting on how amazing her session was. It was actually a very warm, humid August evening. I remember being a bit worried about the humidity as I packed my camera bag for the session. I made sure I had my hand-held fans and bug spray as well as face blotting papers. However, to my surprise, the location she chose, her grandparents home up in the mountains, provided just the right amount of shading and it was actually a quite comfortable evening, temperature-wise. Truly, it couldn’t have been a more perfect session.
Her grandparents had transformed their home in the mountains years ago and Hope spent a lot time there growing up. It was just dreamy with luscious greenery, gardens of flowers and archways of flowing vines. It was truly magical in every way.
Prior to her session, Hope had her makeup done by Rikki Feerar at the Beautiloft. Rikki always does an amazing job of makeup application for my seniors. She knows how to perfectly accentuate each senior’s natural features, making them feel their best.
Hope did a spectacular job of styling her clothing for her senior portraits. Each outfit was absolutely perfect for the time of year and environment we were shooting in. Clothing and styling are so very important to the overall look! And she had variety…also so important to her final gallery.
Hope has decided to take a gap year before making her college plans. She plans to research different career paths, however, she is leaning towards Child Psychology. She really wants to help the community and make a difference.
Hope, I can’t thank you enough for such an incredible senior session! I am so grateful that you chose me to take your senior portraits! I loved every minute of my time with you, your mom and grandfather. You are just a sweetheart in every way. Wishing you all the best as you graduate and find your true passion!
