You’ve Made It! How Exciting!
NOW, LET’S CHAT ABOUT YOUR GRADUATION PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION!
1.
HELLO!
I LOVE Grad season! It’s such an exciting time, and a graduation photo session is the perfect opportunity to capture this special moment in your life. And what better place to do it than on and around your beautiful campus?! Reach out and let’s find a date that works for us both and we will get it on the calendar.
2.
PLANNING YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
Once we’ve set your date, we will start planning your session! If there’s anywhere in particular you’ve spent a lot of time or have a stand-out memory, be sure to let me know so that we can incorporate some sentimental and personalized spots along the way! If you have any unique photo ideas, pass them along as well.
I can also help you choose the best looks for the day! We will discuss what to wear and what to bring with you.
3.
LET’S SHOOT!
Don’t put off getting ready ’til the last minute. Prep as many things as you can beforehand. You may want to bring a bag with any props, water or other items you wish to have with you.
While I want to make sure all of your must-have graduation photos are taken (classic cap and gown or portraits for the parents), I also want to make sure you are laughing and having a good time. We will throw some confetti or spray some champagne/beer and just have fun together! I can’t wait to meet you!
4.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS
Yay! Your session is done! You can expect a sneak peek within 48 hours on Instagram and Facebook, which you can share. I love when grads tag and share their photos! Your gallery will be ready in approximately two weeks. Prints and other archival-quality products can be ordered directly from your client gallery.
GRAD SESSION CHECKLIST
- Be sure to have your cap, tassle, gown, cords and stoles ready to bring to your photo shoot.
- Please iron/steam and hang your clothes the day before to prevent wrinkles.
- Choose clothing that doesn’t clash with your stole and robe.
- If you have a stole, I recommend trying it on with your clothes to see if it matches.
- Do not wait until the day of your session to remove the stole from the package. It will have fold lines.
- If you are wearing heels in your photos, also bring a comfy pair of shoes to walk around campus.
- Pack a comb, gel, hair brush, hair spray, mirror, chapstick, lipstick or anything else you may want for touch ups.
- Bring some water, especially if it’s a hot day and possibly an energy bar.
- Pack your confetti, champagne, beer, cigars, sunglasses or other props you want to include in your photos.
