who doesn’t love it when everything aligns perfectly for a photo session?! i recently received a phone call from a friend. she was talking to someone at church whose family was in from out of town – but only for a couple days – wondering if i could squeeze in a family photo session. out of the two days they were available, i was only free one of the days. unfortunately, the weather report called for heavy rain, all day. we planned to meet at a location where we could at least find some shelter. it poured the morning of our session, but miraculously, the rain stopped and the sun came out right before we met!

i am so grateful to have met this beautiful family! they were loads of fun, easy-going and up for whatever i suggested, even down to puddle-jumping and splashing. it was also fun just capturing them playing and enjoying being with one another. and those cousins with their beautiful red hair … i couldn’t get enough!
